DPWH completes two school facilities in Aurora in time for F2F resumption


The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed two new school facilities, including a two-storey building, in the province of Aurora in time for the resumption of face-to-face classes on Aug. 22.

DPWH Regional Office 3 (DPWH-RO3) Director Roseller A. Tolentino said the project will benefit hundreds of students from Dingalan town.

A new two storey building with six classroom was constructed at the Dingalan Central School amounting to P15.9 million while two additional classrooms worthP3.76-million were built at the Tanawan Elementary School.

Both facilities have been turned-over to school officials.

DPWH SEc. Manuel Bonoan said he projects were funded by the DPWH Aurora District Engineering Office (DEO) under the 2022 General Appropriations Act (GAA) in convergence with the Department of Education (DepEd).

“The completion of the additional classrooms came in time for the resumption of the face-to-face classes after years of mostly online and hybrid learning set-ups nationwide,” said Bonoan.

“By maintaining physical distance and preventing overcrowding, these new learning facilities will help school administrators and instructors ensure a safe learning environment for children returning to schools,” he added. (Jun Marcos Tadios)
