DepEd: Concerns received by OBE-PACC were mostly enrollment-related
Majority of the concerns received by the Department of Education’s (DepEd) Oplan Balik Eskwela Public Assistance Command Center (OBE-PACC) were mostly about enrollment, said DepEd Spokesperson Michael Poa on Tuesday, Aug. 16.
OBE-PACC, according to DepEd, aims to provide immediate virtual assistance to the public by answering queries, concerns, complaints, and clarifications about the school opening.

“Kahapon ay inilunsad natin ang ating command center. Ang layunin nito ay maiparating sa atin agad ang concerns ng ating kababayan, magulang, at learners para matugunan natin. Ang major concerns po ay enrollment. Ito po ‘yung majority ng itinawag sa atin. Ang ginagawa lang naman po natin ay sinasabi natin sa kanila kung ano ang mga procedures para makatulong tayo (Yesterday we launched our command center. The purpose of this is for us to immediately receive the concerns of the public, parents, and learners so that we can address them. The major concern is enrollment. This is the majority of what was called to us. All we do is tell them what the procedures are so we can help) ,” said Poa in a “Laging Handa” public briefing.
Most of the concerns regarding enrollment were specifically about how to transfer from private to public school, Poa added.
Meanwhile, DepEd’s data as of 3 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 15, showed that the command center has so far resolved a total of 222 concerns.
Of this, 98 were enrollment-related, 45 were about “other matters,” 23 were about school policy and operations, 13 about personnel, 9 with regard to programs and projects, 9 about Covid-19, 7 were Senior High School-related, 6 about the Learning Continuity Plan, 6 were legal, 3 finance-related, 2 about examination, and 1 surrounding physical facilities and resources.
