Find out who were named CA officials in House

The House of Representatives' 12-man contingent to the powerful Commission on Appointments (CA) is now fully constituted and organized.

Thanks to a recent Facebook post from Camarines Sur 2nd district Rep. LRay Villafuerte, we now know who are the top officials of the House's CA in the current 19th Congress.

"We had a senior NUP (National Unity Party) party leaders meeting with Speaker Martin Romualdez to discuss legislative priorities and budget deliberations target," Villafuerte wrote.

"Members of the Commision on Qppointments also met with Speaker Martin and Cong Ramon Guico of Pangasinan (5th district) was selected as the head of the house contingent or vice chairman of the CA and I was also selected as the Majority leader of the CA. ," he bared.

The CA is a constitutional body that confirms or rejects certain political appointments made by the President of the Philippines. There is also a Senate contingent to the CA.

Aside from Villafuerte and Guico, the 10 other CA members from the lower chamber are the following:

Iloilo 4th district Rep. Ferjenel Biron

Villafuerte is vice president for political affairs of the NUP, one of the oldest and biggest political parties in the country.
