81 wanted persons arrested in Tarlac inside weeklong operation

CAMP FRANCISCO S MACABULOS, Tarlac City -- A total of 81 lawbreakers were arrested by Tarlac police in their continuous conduct of anti-criminality operations inside seven days from August 8 to August 14.

Out of 81 arrested, 25 have standing warrants of arrest, 24 were arrested for illegal gambling, 14 were nabbed for illegal drugs, three were arrested for illegal possession of firearms and ammunition and 15 were arrested during police response.

Twenty-five wanted persons including three most wanted persons listed in Sibat Target Phase I were arrested during the intelligence-driven manhunt operations conducted by different police stations.

Those with warrant of arrests were allegedly involved in murder, rape in relation to RA 7610, qualified theft, frustrated homicide, estafa, falsification of private individual and use of falsified documents, and violations of RA 9262, RA 9165, PD 705, and City/Municipal Ordinance.

Meanwhile, anti-illegal gambling operations were conducted by Philippine National Police personnel of Tarlac City, Gerona, San Jose, Victoria, and Bamban.

Moncada Police arrested 24 individuals while in the act of playing illegal gambling games.

In anti-illegal drug operations conducted by different police stations, 14 individuals were arrested, and 36 plastic sachets of shabu, four open plastic sachets containing residue of shabu, other illegal drugs paraphernalia and marked money were seized.

The police also nabbed three members of Randy Ponce Gun for Hire Group operating in Tarlac and Pampanga province after selling caliber 45 Norinco 1911 to an undercover agent.

Also found in the suspects’ actual possession were a hand grenade, caliber 45 Norinco 1911 with magazine, and caliber 45 Armscor with magazine.

All the arrested individuals are now under the custody of the arresting units for proper disposition.
