Two lady pushers yield 500 grams of shabu worth P3.4 M in entrapment operation in Sta. Cruz, Manila

PAMPANGA – Two lady pushers allegedly involved in bulk distribution of shabu in Metro Manila and nearby towns of Bulacan and Pampanga were cornered by Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) 3 operatives during an entrapment operation on Sunday afternoon, August 14, in Bustos, Sta. Cruz, Manila.

The suspects were identified as Ainnah Salgan, 64, and Norhanna Canapia, 19, and both are residents of Brgy. 648 C. Palanca Sr. St., San Miguel, Manila.

PDEA-3 operatives said that an undercover agent secured a drug deal with the suspects for the sale of half a kilo of shabu worth P3,450,000.

The undercover PDEA agent and the suspects agreed to meet in front of a popular food chain in Bustos, Sta. Cruz for the transaction.

At this instance, the operatives arrested the two suspects as they yielded 500 grams of shabu placed in five knot-tied transparent plastic. The authorities also seized the marked money.

The two suspects had been under surveillance for almost a month, according to the PDEA.

“Bulk distribution sila, di po nakikipag deal pag less than 100 grams (Their business is bulk distribution only, they don’t deal if less than 100 grams),” PDEA-3 told Manila Bulletin.

Operatives have yet to determine if the arrested suspects are also getting their supply in Pozorrubio, Pangasinan where PDEA National Capital Region and PDEA Pangasinan had seized 360 kilograms of shabu valued at P2.5 billion on Friday, August 12.

Meanwhile, violation of Section 5 (sale of dangerous drugs) in relation to section 26B (conspiracy to sell drugs) of RA 9165 will be filed against the suspects.
