5 kilos of rice given to Dagupan village folk who availed of Covid jab

DAGUPAN CITY – Five kilos of rice were given to the first 100 residents of Barangay Salisay here who availed of Covid-19 vaccines Thursday, August 11.

The vaccines were administered at Barangay Salisay Elementary School.

The city government led by Mayor Belen T. Fernandez is bringing vaccination to the barangays so that more residents can be vaccinated against Covid-19.

A free medical check-up from the City Health Office (CHO) and Department of Health (DOH) was also offered.

Some residents also registered for the KonSulTa (Konsultasyong Sulit at Tama) program of PhilHealth.

Fernandez targets to benefit 50,000 residents under the program.

The activity was also part of the Brigada Eskwela launching at Salisay Elementary School under the leadership of School Principal Corazon Cerezo, barangay officials, and CHO under the leadership of Dr. Ophelia Rivera.

On Monday, August 15, the Pinaslakas nationwide booster vaccine campaign will be held here starting 8 a.m. at the city plaza to further increase immunity against Covid-19.

It is open to all ages 12 and above for first dose, second dose, first booster, and second booster.

First dose and second dose for ages five to 11 are also being offered.

Registration for the PhilHealth KonSulTa program will also be held.

Three kilos of rice will be given to the first 1,000 availing of Covid-19 vaccine Monday, the City Information Office (CIO) said.
