Matteo Guidicelli clarifies viral message to Alex Gonzaga

Actor Matteo Guidicelli has cleared his message to co-host, Alex Gonzaga, on "Lunch Out Loud" on TV5 after it went viral last Thursday.

In an interview on News5 on Friday, Aug. 12, Matteo said that his punchline, in the end, was cut on air, giving a different impression of his statement.

Matteo, 32, also said that some people have been saying negative things about Alex after he delivered his message to her.

"There's a lot of people that say negative things about her (Alex Gonzaga). I just want to clear the air and everything. Tropang LOL is an entertainment show and clips were coming out, naputol siya, without the punchline in the end e....na let's joke around your toenails, Alex," said Matteo, husband of Sarah Geronimo.

On Thursday, Matteo called out Alex for her alleged insensitive jokes, sending both stars on the trending list on social media.

“May konting mensahe po ako sa tropang LOL, especially sa’yo Alex. Napanaginipan ko ito kagabi at nagpray ako, na tigilan na natin ang magbiro sa mga asawa natin kay konsehal at sa asawa ko dahil mga ‘ex’ na yan eh. Kagabi umiyak na talaga ako dahil sa’yo. Nasasaktan ako para sa asawa ko. I-respeto na lang natin ang mga asawa natin,” Matteo told Alex.

Previously, in another “LOL” episode, both Matteo and Alex joked about their exes. In their younger years, Matteo was in a relationship with actress Maja Salvador; while Alex was linked to former Calla Lily frontman Kean Cipriano.

Alex, 34, is known for her wild jokes, pranks, and antics on social media.

In an exclusive interview with the Manila Bulletin via Zoom in April, Alex was asked about playing pranks on her family and friends.

“Madalas naman sinasabi ko sa kanila na may prank ako para hindi naman sila mapikon,” said Alex, who is married to Councilor Mikee Morada of Lipa City in Batangas.
