Elderly man accused of six counts of rape arrested in Zambales

CAMP OLIVAS, City of San Fernando, Pampanga – A 64-year-old man facing charges of six counts of rape was arrested by authorities in Masinloc, Zambales on Thursday, August 11.

According to reports from the Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3), elements of Masinloc Police together with the personnel from the 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company and Philippine National Police-MARITIME Iba Zambales conducted a manhunt operation which led to the arrest of Inocencio Acosta in Brgy. Inhobol, Masinloc, Zambales.

The accused is listed as one of the most wanted persons in Masinloc, Zambales.

He was arrested on the strength of a warrant issued by Hon. Maribel F. Mariano-Beltran of Regional Trial Court, Br 13FC, Iba, Zambales for six counts of statutory rape.

No bail was recommended for the accused.

The newly installed PRO3 Regional Director Police Brigadier General Cesar Pasiwen said that PNP-PRO3 will continue its intensified operations to account and arrest all persons sought by law to offer a more peaceful street for the general public.
