Drug den dismantled, six drug traders arrested in Tarlac buy-bust

TARLAC -- Joint Forces of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Tarlac Provincial Office and Camiling Police cornered six drug personalities during a buy bust operation in a suspected drug den at Barangay Poblacion A, Camiling town on Thursday night, August 11.

Authorities from PDEA identified the suspects as Ian Tiamzon, 32; Dextie Dizon, 43; Arnel Elenzano, 35, Ricarte Prudencio, 30, Kacy Chris Grospe, 31, all of Camiling, Tarlac, and Jeffrey Pascual, 36, of Brgy. San Miguel, Tarlac City.

The six drug personalities were listed as high-value targets, according to the authorities.

A PDEA agent who posed as a buyer was able to buy one small heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing shabu worth P1,000.

Seized during the operation were seven sachets of shabu weighing more or less 20 grams amounting to P136,000, several drug paraphernalia, and the buy-bust money.

The operation was jointly conducted by PDEA Tarlac Provincial Office and the local police led by their chief, Police Lieutenant Colonel Rainier Mercado.

Cases of Violation of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 are being prepared for filing in court against the arrested suspects.
