80-year-old man accused of rape nabbed in Siniloan, Laguna

LAGUNA – Authorities arrested one of Region 4A's most wanted persons in Barangay Magsaysay, Siniloan on Thursday, August 11.

Laguna Police Provincial Office identified the person accused of rape as Vergilio Serrano, 80 years old.

The accused was nabbed in a joint manhunt operation organized by Los Baños Municipal Police Station (MPS), Siniloan MPS, 2nd Laguna Provincial Mobile Force Company and Regional Special Operations Unit 4A.

Serrano was arrested by virtue of an arrest warrant for rape and acts of lasciviousness in relation to the Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act.

The accused is currently under the custody of Los Baños MPS.
