Woman, live-in partner die as motorcycle rams SUV in Nueva Vizcaya

ARITAO, Nueva Vizcaya – A woman and her live-in partner died while their backrider was seriously injured when their motorcycle collided with a Sports Utility Vehicle in Barangay Nagcuartelan here Wednesday, August 11.

The Nueva Vizcaya Police Provincial Office identified the victims as Racquel Urbano; Jake Bautista, Racquel’s live-in partner, and backrider “Russian.”

Police said that the SUV driven by Eligio Tabbu, 66, was negotiating Maharlika Highway when the victims' motorcycle with no headlight on encroached on the lane of the SUV.

Tabbu tried to avoid but still hit the motorcycle.

Jake and Racquel died on the spot due to severe injuries. Russian was taken to a hospital.

Tabbu is now under the custody of the local police.

Police said the victims were drunk when the accident happened.
