VaxCertPH now recognized in Europe — DFA

The Philippines' vaccination certificate, VaxCertPH, is now recognized in European countries as proof of inoculation against Covid-19.

According to the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), VaxCertPH is now recognized by the European Union Digital Covid-10 Certificate (EU DCC) system to be used across all its member states or within the European community.

Likewise, those who have the EU DCC can be recognized and verified upon their entry into the Philippine ports.

DFA said this became possible "after the rigorous verification and validation undertaken by various Philippines government agencies, and after an earlier public confirmation undertaken by the EU Committee responsible for EUDCC interoperability."

For the agency, this "landmark accomplishment" will ensure a seamless, expedited, safe travel and mobility of Filipinos to and within the European community and other jurisdictions that subscribe to the EUDCC standard, which is composed of 48 non-EU countries and territories.

With its onboarding to the EU DCC, the VaxCertPH is now among the most widely recognized vaccination certificates globally, the DFA said.

VaxCertPH is recognized across 94 countries and territories, it added.
