Public warned against fake FB account

The Diocese of Legazpi has warned the public against a Facebook page using the name of Bishop Joel Baylon.

"Scammer alert! Somebody is impersonating our bishop, Most Rev. Joel Z. Baylon, using his profile picture on Facebook," the diocese said in a Facebook post Wednesday, August 10.

"We advise everyone not to accept any Friend Request from this fake account, share personal data, or send money. We would also appreciate it if you report the account as fake," it added.

Baylon also issued a similar warning to the public.

"Someone is using my FB profile and sending "friend requests". Please disregard this bcoz this ia not me!" he said.

"May I ask that you kindly inform Facebook that this is an impostor, & therefore should be blocked from FB," added the prelate.
