Parañaque, Pasay hit by 11-hour water service interruption


Several parts of Parañaque and Pasay cities experienced an 11-hour water service interruption on Wednesday, Aug. 10 starting at 6 a.m.

Based on the Maynilad Water Services Inc. announcement and a Facebook post by the Parañaque Public Information Office (PIO), regular water services will resume on Thursday, Aug. 11, at 1 a.m.

According to Maynilad, the 11-hour water service interruption was implemented due to a facility repair activity at the Pasay Pumping Station.

The affected barangays in Parañaque were Baclaran, BF Homes,BF International CAA, Don Galo, La Huerta,Moonwalk, San Dionisio, San Isidro, Sto Nino, and Tambo.

In Pasay City, about 35 communities were affected by the water service interruption.

The affected barangays were 145 to 153,156, 159, 161, 162,163, 165, 166, 167, 169, 171 to 175,178, 179, 181,183, 184, 186 to 191, 199, and 200.

Mayor Imelda Calixto-Rubiano said Maynilad, based on its agreement with the city government, will continue to deliver potable water to communities affected by the water service interruption.
