The 20-year-old Green, who is an adidas Global Ambassador, is set to experience more about the Philippine basketball culture as well as the street lifestyle in Manila.

"It is with great pride and excitement that adidas Philippines welcomes another NBA athlete— and most importantly one with Filipino roots— to the country," said Jen Dacasin, adidas Philippines Brand Activation Manager.

"This has been prepared a bit differently from how our previous athlete visits were because firstly, we are taking into consideration the health and safety of Jalen as well as our fellow Filipinos, but also, we wanted to make sure that we give Jalen this opportunity to see and experience a different and more authentic side of the Philippines as he represents the Three Stripes."

In one of his Instagram stories, Green showed excitement upon arrival on his hotel room but the exact location was undisclosed. He also reposted a couple of IG stories regarding his tour.

Green, who averaged 17.3 points, 3.4 rebounds, 2.6 assists in the 2021-22 season, will be meeting with the Philippine media Thursday, Aug. 11, while a meet and greet will follow at the adidas Brand Center in Glorietta 3 in Makati City.

After the morning session, the 6-foot-4 playmaker, who was the second overall pick in the 2021 NBA draft, will continue the tour at the Ayala Malls Manila Bay in Parañaque City and reconnect his basketball roots by a simple showcase and other activities.

He had visited the country twice already when he was still in high school as part of the FilAm Sports USA team which competed in the National Basketball Training Center (NBTC) National Finals in 2018 and 2019.
