Drug group leader arrested in Lucena City buy-bust

LUCENA CITY, Quezon -- A leader of a drug group was arrested, with the operatives seizing some P108,000 worth of shabu during a buy-bust operation on Wednesday, August 10, at Purok Matahimik Isla, Barangay Cotta in this city.

The police identified the suspect as Alfredo Querijero alias Jetox, 58, a high-value individual, and leader of Querijero Drug Group.

The joint operatives of Station Drug Enforcement Unit of Lucena City Police Station led by P/Lt. Jerome Ubaldo II with Provincial Intelligence Branch- Quezon Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit, Quezon Maritime Police Station, Criminal Investigation and Detection Group-Quezon and Regional Intelligence Unit-Quezon conducted the buy-bust operation against the suspect following a verified information from concerned residents regarding his drug trade.

The raiders arrested the suspect after they were able to buy a sachet of shabu from him.

The anti-narcotics operatives seized eight sachets of shabu weighing 5.32 grams with an estimated value of P108,528.

A case on violation in relation to section 5 and 11, Article ll of R.A. 9165 ( Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) is being prepared for filing before the City Prosecutor’s Office of Lucena City while the evidence was brought to Quezon Provincial Crime Laboratory for examination
