Couple yields P580,000 shabu in Bacolod buy-bust

BACOLOD CITY – Police arrested a couple and seized 81 grams of suspected shabu worth P580,600 in a buy-bust operation in Purok Kawayan, Barangay Banago here Tuesday, August 9.

Police identified the suspects as Rodmar Abada, 37, and his live-in partner Aunice Latuna, 28, residents of Barangay Banago.

Police Lt. Joven Mogato, head of the City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU), said that Abada was arrested for a drug offense in April 2021 and was released from detention last January through plea bargain.

Mogato said the couple was reportedly engaged in the illegal drugs trade for a few months now.

With more than 50 grams of shabu recovered from the suspects, Mogato said they are considered high value individuals.

Suspects are detained at Police Station 3.
