Robin Padilla reacts to Audie Gemora's seeming criticism

Robin Padilla has commented on the question posed by Audie Gemora on social media.

He did so by sharing a post by MJ Quiambao Reyes, co-founder of the non-profit, non-governmental organization The Little Swallow.

It read:

"Una, bago po kayo mang insulto, siguruhin n'yo po muna na tama ang spelling nyo ng KINDERGARTNER para di ka naman nakakahiya."

"Pangalawa, hindi sukatan ng talino at competence ang galing sa pananalita ng wikang banyaga. "

"Pangatlo, ang pagiging mapagkumbaba at ang pagmamahal sa sariling wika ay hindi kailanman kabobohan o kakulangan ng kakayahan magsilbi sa bayan.

"Isinusulong ni Sen. Robin Padilla ang pag gamit ng sariling wika hindi lang dahil sa doon sya mas bihasa at mas kumportable kundi dahil gusto rin nyang mas maunawaan ng nakararaming mamamayan ang mga mahahalagang isyung pinagdedebatehan sa senado.

"Tulad ng sabi sa amin mismo ni PRRD noong July 18 (if my memory serves me right): "Mahusay man yan talaga si Robin. That guy can express himself in English if he wants to. Pero gusto nya talagang gamitin ang Filipino. Bakit naman hindi.""

Prior, Audie posted: "You put a kinder-gardener in graduate school and expect the class to adjust?"

He then posted an article about Robin supposedly admitting to having difficulty following plenary debates because his colleagues normally engage in debates in English.

Meanwhile, in another post, Robin said he's still "adjusting" in his new job.

"Nag-a-adjust pa tayo sa plenaryo lalo na't wikang Ingles ang ginagamit. Gayunpaman,  patuloy ang aking pagpupursige na mas matuto upang makipagtalastasan sa unibersal na lengguwaheng ito. Gayunpaman, iminumungkahi ko pa rin ang paggamit ng wikang Filipino upang tayong lahat ay mas magkaintindihan. Ito ang ating pambansang wika; gamitin natin ito!"
