The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) has disbursed P445.46M to drivers and operators of Public Utility Bus (PUB) plying the EDSA Busway under the Libreng Sakay of the Service Contracting Program (SCP) one month into the new administration.
The amount was payment for week 6 to week 13 of the SCP Phase 3.At present, the LTFRB is processing the payments for week 14 and 15.

The agency is now in close coordination with the PUB consortia operating the EDSA Busway to begin processing of payments for week 16, which ended last week, according to LTFRB Chairman Atty. Cheloy E. Velicaria-Garafil.
Earlier, the new LTFRB administration vowed to expedite the payments of PUB drivers and operators on the EDSA Busway amid complaints that the said drivers and operators were not paid for servicing passengers along the route.
“LTFRB will continue to address issues and concerns to improve the lives of our operators and drivers and the commuting public,” Garafil stated Monday.
