Intramuros Administration implements skeletal work force after fire at Palacio del Gobernador
A skeletal work force was deployed among the personnel of the Intramuros Administration (IA) holding office at the Palacio del Gobernador in Intramuros, Manila on Monday, Aug. 1, after the building caught fire on Sunday night.

The fire hit the seventh floor of the building which is occupied by the IT Division of the Commission on Elections (Comelec). The IA office which was located on the fifth floor of the same building was deemed unaffected by the blaze, according to the Department of Tourism (DOT)
However, to ensure the safety of all personnel and visitors, the DOT said that the agency decided to implement a skeletal work force at the Intramuros Visitor Center in Fort Santiago "until authorities have confirmed that the Palacio del Gobernador is deemed safe for use."
“Meanwhile, inquiries and applications for permits at the One Door Processing Portal will be accessible at the IA website, intramuros.gov.ph,” the DOT noted.
Fire officials said the blaze started at 6:53 p.m. and reached second alarm at 7:02 p.m. It was declared out at 8:18 p.m.
The cause of fire is already being investigated.
