Ateneo opens college application period for SY 2023-2024

The Ateneo de Manila University has opened its college admission application period for School Year (SY) 2023-2024 on Monday, Aug. 1.

As posted on its official website, the university also announced that the application period would see the return of the Ateneo College Entrance Test (ACET) after it was suspended for two years due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

“The revived ACET is a refreshed version of the examination, seen to help assess applicants better,” Ateneo said.

Aside from performance in the ACET, acceptance to the university will be based on academic and non-academic performance from Grades 9 to 11; batch ranking at the end of Grade 11; personal admission essays; recommendation letters; extracurriculars; and disciplinary records.

Ateneo said that the application process will also be fully online.

To guide the applicants, Ateneo also released the application calendar. For First Year College Entry, the application period is from Aug. 1 to Sept. 30, 2022.

The deadline for first year college admission and scholarship was set on Sept. 30.

The Ateneo college entrance test for the National Capital Region (NCR) is scheduled for Oct. 20 to 30 while the college entrance test outside Metro Manila was set for Nov. 5 to 6.

The release of decisions on first year college applications via email is in April 2023.

For transferees, the application period is scheduled from Aug. 1 to March 24, 2023. The deadline for application for transfer admission is on March 24, 2023, while the deadline for application for a scholarship for transfer applicants is on March 31, 2023.

Ateneo said that the college entrance test for transfer applicants has been scheduled for January 2023 while the release of decisions on transfer applications via email will be in May 2023.
