6 arrested, P89,000 shabu seized in drug den raid in Pangasinan

DAGUPAN CITY – The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) arrested six drug suspects and dismantled a drug den in Barangay IV here Thursday, July 7.

Suspects were identified as Dennis de Guzman, 52; Jeffrey de Vera, 28; Benedict Operaña, 47; Ranillo Fernandez, 43; Joy Paras, 33; and Joerico Buenaventura, 40, mostly residents of Dagupan City.

All suspects, except for Buenaventura, had been arrested for violation of Republic Act (RA) No. 9165, the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

The suspects yielded five heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet and one elongated transparent container containing suspected shabu weighing 13.0756 grams and valued at P88,914.08; assorted drug paraphernalia, motorcycles, and the buy-bust money.

Charges for violation of the RA 9165 will be filed against the suspects.
