Pastrana's nomination as PPA general manager remains — Malacañang
Malacañang said the nomination of businessman Christopher Pastrana as the general manager of the Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) remains.

Press Secretary Trixie Cruz-Angeles stated this following claims that President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. has withdrawn the nomination of Pastrana as PPA general manager.
"here is no statement and no information on that one. So, it’s status quo as of the moment," Angeles said in a press briefing on Friday, July 8.
Pastrana, a businessman in the transportation field, was picked by Marcos to lead PPA in June 23, a week before his inauguration as the country's 17th President.
Pastrana was sworn in by the President in a mass oath taking of heads of government agencies on June 30, shortly after Marcos' inauguration.
