Ella Cruz: 'WAG NIYONG IDADAMAY PAMILYA KO'

Ella Cruz has kept her cool amid the continued bashing she has been receiving following her viral statement on history being like "tsismis."

She only reacted when an online user dragged loved ones into the mess.

The actress called on the bashers on social media: "Nathaniel Shawn Martin Estrella and Toni At kung sino pa, Bash me all you want PERO WAG NIYONG IDADAMAY PAMILYA KO. Have a little humanity, please,"

She also shared a screenshot of their messages.

Note that apart from some netizens, several celebrities like Pokwang, Agot Isidro, and Gretchen Ho shared their two cents on Ella's statement.

G Töngi also called out Ella on Twitter.

She wrote: "@itsEllaCruz actors don’t need to justify the villainy of their roles. I would (heart emoji) to share with you how at 8 years old in 1986, I marched to the streets, along with countless others who r part of a history you are dismissing as here say. Wag nak’! It feels like erasure. Di Tama!"

There are some who quickly defended the 25-year-old star.

Veteran showbiz scribe Cristy Fermin said in her recent vlog: “Ginagamit ko nga ‘yan eh pagka-New Year’s resolution. ‘Ano ang New Year’s resolution mo?’ ‘Ay naku, it’s like history, it repeats itself.”
