Calabarzon logs 189 new active Covid-19 cases

CALAMBA CITY, Laguna – Region 4-A or the Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, and Quezon area (Calabarzon) logged 189 new active Covid-19 cases Thursday, July 7, the Department of Health (DOH) said.

There are now a total of 1,174 active Covid-19 cases in the area.

Cavite logged 42 new cases, with 456 active; Laguna, 55 new cases, with 246 active; Batangas, 43 new cases, with 287 active; Rizal, 44 new cases, with 151 active; Quezon, three new cases, with 29 active, and Lucena City, two new cases, with five active cases.

There were 137 new recoveries and five deaths.

Vaccination is still being conducted and some vaccination sites are located in popular malls in the region.
