Liza Diño to welcome Tirso Cruz III as new FDCP chair

Outgoing Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) Chairperson Liza Diño went live on social media recently to inform the public about changes in the agency.

Note that President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. has appointed seasoned actor Tirso Cruz III as chairperson and chief executive of FDCP.

Liza said: "Hi, everyone, I'm still here at the office. I just want to let you know that the agency has also read the latest development regarding the chairmanship of the FDCP online. And while we haven't received any official communication from the Office of the President, we are preparing for a smooth process sa transition and turn over ng FDCP to our new Chair."

"And we will welcome him pagdating na pagdating niya dito," she added.

Singer Ice Seguerra's wife then expressed gratitude to those who supported her as chair of the agency.

"I just want to take this opportunity to thank everyone sa lahat ng mga suporta ninyo, sa lahat ng mga messages ninyo. Thank you so much for your love and support."

Liza served the national film agency as appointee of then-President Rodrigo Roa Duterte starting in 2016.

Her term was extended until 2021.

Last March, Duterte reappointed Liza as FDCP chair anew.

She was supposed to serve another three-year term that would last until 2025 but for Tirso's appointment.
