Neophyte lawmaker and Kabataan Party-list Rep. Raoul Manuel filed 10 House bills (HBs) and 10 House Resolutions (HRs) last June 30, or the first day for the fifiling of measures for the 19th Congress.
Top-billing the measures is a request for the House to look into the alleged fraud during the May 2022 polls, as well as the abolition of the controversial Anti-Terror Law.

Qn unnumbered bill filed by Manuel on June 30 was titled, “Resolution Urging the Committees on Suffrage and Electoral Reforms and on Good Governance and Public Accountability to Investigate Immediately, in Aid of Legislation, the Irregularities and the Failure to Achieve Free and Fair Election Standards in Conducting the May 9, 2022 Polls, With Special Attention to the Participation of Smartmatic Philippines and Concerned Public Servants Including the Commission on Elections.”
Manuel also filed “An Act Repealing Republic Act 11479, Otherwise Known as the Anti-Terrorism Act of 2020.”
Each of the bills and resolutions filed by the youth lawmaker were also introduced by fellow Makabayan bloc members ACT-Teachers Party-list Rep. France Castro and Gabriela Women’s Party-list Rep. Arlene Brosas.
The militant solons are expected to comprise the House minority bloc, which will seek to become the counterforce to the “supermajority” bloc.
