Caloocan gov't conducts week-long job hiring activity

The Caloocan City government is conducting a week-long local recruitment activity to provide 10,000 new job opportunities for city residents.

“Naniniwala tayo na madiskarte ang mga Batang Kankaloo, oportunidad lang ang kailangan. Kaya dapat, mapa-high school graduate o college graduate man, may trabaho dapat tayong mailaan para sa kanila (We believe that the Kankaloo Children can be strategic, only opportunity is needed. So, whether we are high school graduates or college graduates, we must have a job reserved for them),” Mayor Dale “Along” Malapitan said.

A total of 3,640 jobs are available for the entire week, 741 of which are being filled on Tuesday, July 5, wherein several of the applicants were hired on the spot.

The city government partnered with Alorica, SM Appliance Center, EEI, Savemore Market, Popular Resources Inc., Triple E, and Optimus Mobile Technologies, Inc., among others, to help job seekers, renewing focus on employment amid the crisis.

The upcoming local recruitment activities are scheduled from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday (July 6) at PESO South Caloocan-City Hall and Thursday (July 7) and Friday (July 8) at PESO South and North Caloocan City Hall.
