Pan de Laguna launched to provide nutritious food to new mothers, undernourished kids
STA. CRUZ, Laguna – The provincial government launched a project called Pan de Laguna at the Cultural Center of Laguna on Monday, July 4, in time for Nutrition Month.

The program, spearheaded by Provincial Nutrition Action Office, offers a nutrient-dense bun to pregnant women, lactating moms, and undernourished children.
In a Facebook post, Gov. Ramil L. Hernandez said each bun contains malunggay (moringa) and is fortified with micronutrients including zinc, iron, iodine, calcium, vitamin A, and folic acid.

Hernandez said various departments of the provincial government are collaborating on the project to give Lagunenses proper nutrition, from pre-natal stage to advanced age.
The municipal government of Los Baños has also previously launched its own nutrient-dense bread project called NutriBaños – a fortified bun that comes in chocolate, ube, pandan, and malunggay flavors.
