Businessman-pageant organizer Jaime Acosta passes away

Psalmstre CEO and President Jaime Acosta, a successful businessman who pioneered placenta soap in the country and a pageant organizer, has passed away, his friends announced on social media today, July 5.

"Sa mga nagtatanong po wala na po si Tito jim, dito na lang din po ako mag update kung san po sya pwedeng puntahan. Hindi ko na po kayo maisa isa," a close friend of Acosta wrote on Facebook on July 5.

A close friend of Jaime said that the well-loved businessman and pageant organizer suffered a heart attack during an event in Laguna.

Known to his close friends as Brother Jim, Jaime successfully built Psalmstre Enterprises, Inc., maker of the best-selling New Placenta Soap and Olive-C for teenagers. His products were endorsed by celebrities Melanie Marquez, Ejay Falcon, Katrina Halili, Stephany Stefanowitz, and beauty queens. He was also a publisher of an entertainment newspaper, "Showbiz Sosyal."

Interment details will be announced later.
