The number of Quezon City's active Covid-19 cases climbed to 850 cases on Sunday, July 3.
Based on the report validated by the QC Epidemiology and Disease Surveillance Unit (QCESU) and released on Sunday, the current number of the active cases is 0.32 percent of the 264,407 total cases.
The city's fourth district has listed 241 active cases, the highest number among the Quezon City's six districts.
District 2 has the lowest active cases with 68.
Out of 142 barangays in the city, Barangay Pasong Tamo (District 6) recorded the highest number of active cases with 26, while 23 barangays have no cases listed.
The local government said that based on the OCTA Research and QCESU weekly report covering June 21 to 27, the city's Covid-19 average daily cases is now at 72 coming from the 50 cases recorded the previous week (June 14-20).
The positivity rate or the number of individuals who tested positive out of the total number of tests done for seven days is at 6.8 from 4.0, while the reproduction rate went down to 1.95 from 2.20.
In June 2022, the local government raised its local Covid-19 warning system to yellow "status" after an increase in the city's daily cases was recorded.
As of July 3, the city had 264,407 total Covid-19 cases with 1,734 deaths and 261,823 recoveries.
The city government reminded the residents to follow health and safety protocols.
