Pokwang, Darryl Yap on Ella Cruz's viral 'history is like tsismis' statement

Actress-dancer Ella Cruz recently shared her idea about history in an interview for her upcoming film "Maid In Malacañang."

She was quoted as saying: “History is like tsismis. It is filtered and dagdag na rin, so, hindi natin alam what is the real history. Andoon na iyong idea, pero may mga bias talaga. As long as we’re here alive at may kanya-kanyang opinion, I respect everyone’s opinion.”

It received mixed reactions.

Some expressed disappointment about it.

Comedian Pokwang even voiced out her two cents on the matter via social media.

"nak Ella Cruz tanggap ko pananaw mo sa politika at respeto ko ang sino man sinuportahan mo, pero sa usaping HISTORY, di ako sasang ayon sayo nak dahil mali! maling mali… mabuti pang ibalik na kitang muli sa dagat nak mayaman sa iodin ang dagat nakakatalino daw yan #Aryana," she tweeted.

Meanwhile, “Maid in Malacañang” director Darryl Yap also dipped his finger into the issue.

He wrote on Facebook: "nakita mo naman Ella Cruz; basta’t may pwede silang sakyang isyu, kahit wala namang masamang kahulugan, gagawin nilang lahat ang kanilang makakaya para imisinterpret ka at alakihin para mahawa ng relevance."

As of writing, Ella is yet to react on the issue.
