Drunk man picks fight with a group; stabs man in GMA, Cavite

GENERAL MARIANO ALVAREZ, Cavite – A man was arrested for stabbing a man during the wee hours of Sunday, July 3.

GMA Municipal Police Station identified the suspect as Aljon Frial, 29, a construction worker.

Master Sgt. Jonarey G. Visca told the Manila Bulletin that at 3:30 a.m. on Sunday, the 21-year-old victim was walking with his friends to buy food.

The suspect, who was allegedly drunk at the time, picked a fight with the group.

Amid a heated argument, the suspect stabbed the victim using a hard-pointed object similar to an ice pick.

The victim sustained stab wounds at the back and on his left lower arm and was immediately brought to the hospital.

The suspect is under police custody and is facing frustrated homicide charges.
