Aldub fans compare Maine Mendoza-Alden Richards love team to Kwentong Jollibee: 'Walang forever'

Fans of Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza, collectively known as Aldub, couldn't help but compare the ending of their love team to one of the Jollibee commercials.

In the online ad for Kwentong Jollibee, the guy ends up the best man at his best friend's wedding.

Fans likened the bride to Maine, the groom to her boyfriend Rep. Arjo Atayde of Quezon City, and the best man, Alden.

Last Friday, social media went abuzz after Arjo proposed to Maine.

The Aldub photo caption wrote: "Ung minahal kong Aldub Parang kwento lng sa Jollibee walang forever,????..." Some comments:

"Sana hinintay nya kung tlagang mahal mo ang isang tao."

"Para di kayo masaktan manood na lang kayo ng himanitaria vlog sa utube para walang stress ako mula ng di na pinagtambal ang aldub nood nalang ako ng mga umanitarian vlog kay sa magpaka stress pa sa aldub wala kanaman jan mapapala ginamit lang nila mga suporter para sumikat di pa nila tinapat yong mga senior na wala na talaga ang aldub di yong pinaaasa lang nila."

"Family first ang priority n kuya alden."

"Nging sila nman kaya priority ni Alden that time is to be rich for his family's.Ni let go niya si Menggay. kaya the that got away si Maine n love niya tlg sobra!"

"Yamang totoong scripted lahat trabaho LNG walang totoo tayo LNG ang nalinlang sayang talaga."

The phenomenal love team of Aldub first appeared in the Kalyeserye portion of "Juan for All Segment" of "Eat Bulaga!" in 2015. Maine and Alden were accidentally paired off during the segment on July 16, 2015.

On Sept. 26, 2015, Aldub trended on social media as they reached a record-breaking 25.6 million tweets.

Then "Eat Bulaga!" decided to make a daily 30-minute segment for the tandem. In there, the funny lines and gags were a hit among viewers. Maine and Alden were forbidden to meet in person by Lola Nidora, played by Wally Bayola.

On Oct. 24, 2015, Alden and Maine finally met in person during a special episode held at the Philippine Arena in Bulacan. The show trended again on Twitter, and the rest is history.
