Celebs mourn demise of former President Fidel V. Ramos

Local celebrities extended their condolences to the family of former Philippine President Fidel V. Ramos who passed away on July 31. He was 94.
On Facebook, Senator-actor Robin Padilla wrote: "Boss FVR Paalam po. Inna Lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un."
Actor and former Mayor Isko Moreno also honored Ramos.
Moreno said: "Nakikiramay po ako sa pamilya at sa lahat ng nagmamahal sa dating Pangulong Fidel V. Ramos."
"Hindi ko malilimutan kung paano nya isinulong na maging globally competitive ang Pilipinas sa pamamagitan ng pagpapalakas ng ekonomiya," he added. "Dahil dito, naibalik ang dangal ng pagiging Pilipino at marami sa atin ang patuloy na umunlad."
"Sa mga mahal sa buhay ni FVR, nawa’y balutin kayo ng pagmamahal ng buong sambayanang Pilipino sa panahong ito. Muli maraming salamat sa paglilingkod nyo sa bayan President Fidel V. Ramos."
The official Facebook pages of director Darryl Yap's VinCentiments and Jessica Soho's "Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho" also offered their condolences.
VinCentiments wrote: "Nakikiramay ang buong produksyon ng MAID in MALACAÑANG" along with the text card: "isa na naman pong personalidad sa EDSA '86 ang namaalam. Rest In Peace Former Presdient Fidel V. Ramos. KATOTOHANAN. KALAYAAN. PARA SA MGA KABABAYAN."
The social media account of "Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho," wrote: "rest in peace."

Senator Grace Poe, daughter of late veteran actors Fernando Poe Jr. and Susan Roces, also mourned the passing of FRV, as she uploaded a picture of them together.
"With the Filipino people, we mourn the passing of a steadfast leader and democracy icon," the caption read. "His resolute vision paved the way for real economic gains that brought the Philippines to a rising tiger status. The occasions I met with former President FVR left indelible lessons on being a firm and dedicated public servant."
Press Secretary Trixie Cruz-Angeles also reacted to Ramos' demise.
"It is with great sorrow that we learn of the passing of former President Fidel V. Ramos. He leaves behind a colorful legacy and a secure place in history for his participation in the great changes of our country, both as military officer and chief executive. We deeply condole with his family, friends, classmates and associates and keep him in our prayers."
President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. also extended sympathy to the family of FVR.
"I extend my deepest condolences to the family of former President Fidel Valdez Ramos who passed away today having lived a full life as a military officer and public servant," Marcos wrote on Facebook.
"Our family shares the Filipino people’s grief on this sad day. We did not only lose a good leader but also a member of the family," he added. "I call on all Filipinos to pray for the eternal repose of Mr. Ramos. The legacy of his presidency will always be cherished and will be forever enshrined in the hearts of our grateful nation."
