5 Korean films invited to 47th Toronto International Film Festival in September

Five Korean films have been invited to the 47th Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF), which will be held from Sept. 8 to 18.

The TIFF announced the 63 films included in its 2022 Official Selection consisting of 18 Galas and 45 Special Presentations.

“We’re excited to welcome some of the most celebrated figures in movies back to Toronto to present their Gala and Special Presentation films. With stories that span six continents and feature performances you just have to see, this lineup delivers the rich experiences we wait all year for. Cinema is alive. Red carpets are back. And the best audience in the world awaits them in Toronto,” said ,” Cameron Bailey, TIFF CEO.

From South Korea, the film invited to the TIFF’s Gala Presentations is “Hunt” directed by “Squid Game” actor Lee Jung-jae, who also stars in the film along with Jung Woo-sung.

Under Special Presentations, the Korean films that will participate at the TIFF are “Broker” directed by Hirokazu Kore-eda, “Decision to Leave” directed by Park Chan-wook, “A Man of Reason” directed by Jung Woo-sung and “Walk Up” directed by Hong Sangsoo.
