'Maid in Malacanang' tickets now available in malls; Nope, they ain't free
‘’Maid in Malacanang’’ tickets are now available in the Philippines and some countries around the world, but they are not for free.
‘’Yes, cinema tickets are available just now; go back to your favorite malls and don't believe the posts of losers (in the May 2022 elections),’’ the office of Senator Imee Marcos said in a Viber message
‘’The office of Senator Marcos (the eldest daughter of the late President Ferdinand Marcos Sr.), Viva Films and even Vincentiments are not giving away free tickets—that is the work of the pinks—they are just passing it on to us,’’ the statement said.
The statement stressed that ‘’the businessmen, local leaders and groups of loyalists who book block screenings don't have directives from us; we didn't order it—but we won't stop it either, we are thankful for initiatives like this".
‘’However—with our director looking like money- we can make sure the tickets are not free,’’ it added.
‘’To our countrymen abroad especially in Dubai, whose schedules are sold-out for four days - we are asking you not to increase the ticket price so that everyone can watch; Direk Darryl (Yap) will personally visit Dubai with the desert cast,’’ it said.
The senator’s statement further emphasized: ‘’Let us not be sent to the attention of those who eat rotten rice— who insist that our movie has a counterpart; just like what happened in the election, The one who ran just to beat someone...oh didn't win.’’
‘’So a movie that is only released for forced confrontation will not succeed. Let's not forget that cheapness of attention,’’ the statement pointed out.
‘’THE MAID IN MALACAÑANG IS COMING. and all they can do is envy, spread fake news and ‘s..t’ from their toxic pink mouths,’’ it added.
The movie, which will premiere on Aug. 3, tells the story of the last 72 hours of the Marcos family inside Malacañang Palace before they flew to Hawaii during the 1986 EDSA People Power Revolution.
