Municipal tourism offices have been ordered to submit reports on the condition of tourist destinations in the province after the earthquake.
Debris was found scattered on the Tocolana Ruins. The local government immediately closed the site which now needs restoration.
Lal-lo is now coordinating with government agencies in charge of restoring heritage sites to ensure the orderly and proper adjustment of damaged part of the ruins.
The church of Santo Domingo de Guzman here sustained minor cracks from the temblor.
Local tourism officers started Friday, July 29, conducting validation on other tourist sites here such as the Callao Cave for earthquake damage.
The Callao Cave was found out to be unscathed by the earthquake.
“Okay naman lahat ng ating mga sites, maging ang ating mga Visitors’ Pavilion at maging ang Callao Caves ay maayos (Our tourist sites are OK, including the Visitors’ Pavilion and Callao Caves),” said Baquiran.
