The Philippines wrapped up its AFF U18 Women's Championship campaign with a 2-1 loss to Malaysia Friday, July 29, at the Jakabaring Athletic Field in Palembang Indonesia.

The Filipinas U18 squad ended up winless in three games against Malaysia and Group B leaders Australia and Myanmar, who both advanced to the finals.
Najwa Irdina scored two early goals in the first eight minutes of the game which proved costly for the Philippines side for the rest of the first half.
Isabella Flanigan found the back of the net at the 52nd minute but the Filipinas couldn't get an equalizer to salvage a draw.
Both Flanigan and Chantelle Maniti were part of the Filipinas team which captured the first and historic AFF Women's Championship early this month at the Rizal Memorial Stadium.
The Philippines began its U18 campaign with a 4-0 defeat at the hands of Australia before yielding a 3-1 loss to Myanmar.
Meanwhile, Australia beat Myanmar in the last group stage showdown and awaits the winner between Group A's top teams Vietnam and Thailand.
