Diocese of Kidapawan to conduct second collection for calamity victims in Abra
The Diocese of Kidapawan will conduct a special collection in all the parishes under its jurisdiction on Sunday, July 31 for the calamity victims and survivors of the strong earthquake that struck Northern Luzon, particularly the province of Abra.

Bishop Jose Colin Bagaforo has issued an appeal to the faithful to help in whatever way they can the calamity survivors.
“In the spirit of communion and solidarity with our brothers and sisters who are suffering because of the recent earthquake that affected Northwestern Luzon, particularly the Ilocos provinces, Abra, Tabuk-Kalinga, and Mountain Province, I am appealing for your generosity and kindness,” said Bishop Bagaforo in a statement.
The Church leader said the funds from the second collection in Sunday’s masses will be given to the affected dioceses in Northern Luzon. Donors may also send their donations to the Diocesan Finance Office. He said the Diocese of Kidapawan also suffered losses in 2019 after it was hit by a strong earthquake.
Historic churches in Northern Luzon that reported damages include the Santa Catalina de Alexandria Church and San Lorenzo Ruiz Shrine in Abra, the Vigan Cathedral, and the St. John the Baptist Church in Ilocos Sur.
