Nearly P1.5-B worth of shabu seized in Cavite drug bust

Authorities confiscated some P1.496 billion worth of shabu in a buy-bust in Cavite which happened an hour after the anti-illegal drug operation in Quezon City where over P272 million worth of shabu were seized.

Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) spokesperson Derrick Carreon said another suspected Chinese drug trafficker was arrested in the operation that was carried out at around 11:30 a.m. in Dasmariñas City.

A Chinese national was also arrested in the 10:30 a.m. operation in Quezon City.

Carreon identified the suspect nabbed in Cavite as Hai Lin, 41.

Aside from the 220 kilos of shabu, authorities also confiscated three android cellular phones, one analog cellular phone, one Covid-19 vaccination card bearing the name of Hai Lin and his driver’s license.

Hai Lin faces charges for violation of Article II of republic Act (RA) 9165).

The operation was conducted by PDEA, Task Force NOAH, Team Navy and Philippine National Police (PNP). (Chito A. Chavez)
