Laborer gunned down in front of daughter in Quezon

CANDELARIA, Quezon – A 34-year-old construction worker was killed in front of his daughter by an unidentified gunman who stormed their house in Barangay Pahinga Norte here Saturday, July 2.

Police identified the fatality as Abril Buenavista.

Investigation showed that Abril and daughter Khazalhayn were at their house at about 8:40 p.m. when the suspect armed with a handgun arrived.

The suspect fired at Abril several times and fled. Abril was taken to Peter Paul Medical Center here where he died from multiple bullet wounds.

Her minor daughter was hit by a stray bullet and taken to the hospital.

Police have launched a manhunt operation against the suspect and conducting a deep investigation to determine the gunman’s motive.
