Maine Mendoza, Arjo Atayde engaged

Actress Maine Mendoza announced her engagement with longtime boyfriend, actor-turned-politician Arjo Atayde.

On Instagram, Maine uploaded behind-the-scenes photos of the proposal.

She wrote in the caption: “Wait, whaaaat??? We’re engaged?! (shocked face with exploding head emoji).”

The comment section was immediately filled with warm reception.

Celebrities like Arjo’s sister, Ria Atayde, and Maine’s “Eat Bulaga” colleagues Maja Salvador and Pauleen Luna extended their congratulatory messages.

Meanwhile, the newly elected congressman also shared more pictures of his engagement on social media.

"My turn, I will marry you cutie. (heart emoji) 07.28.22," Arjo wrote.

In a previous interview, Arjo has come out to admit that he and Maine are already discussing marriage.

Late last year, the two marked their third anniversary as sweethearts via a romantic date on a yacht.
