Cong Arjo can now call Maine his fiancée

Rookie congressman Quezon City 1st district Rep. Arjo Atayde has a lot going for him these days.

After gaining a committee vice chairmanship in the House of Representatives, Atayde announced over his Instagram Friday night, July 29 that he will soon marry his long-rumored girlfriend, Maine Mendoza, who apparently said "yes" when he popped the big question.

"My turn, I will marry you cutie," the movie actor-actor-turned-solon wrote, referring to his squeeze, Mendoza.

The photos shared by Atayde gave his followers an idea of how he proposed to the "Dubsmash Queen".

Suffice it to say that it was an elaborate and sweet proposal courtesy of the gentleman from Quezon City.
