10 drug suspects apprehended after series of operations; P150,000 worth of shabu seized

MABALACAT CITY, PAMPANGA -- At least 10 drug personalities were arrested in three separate buy-bust operations launched by agents of Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Pampanga and PDEA Aurora on Friday afternoon (July 29).

Some P158,700 worth of shabu were seized from the suspects who had been under surveillance for almost a month because of their illegal drugs activities.

PDEA said the first operation was conducted around 3:05 p.m. in 5th St., Barangay Dapdap, Mabalacat City. The operation resulted in the seizure of 12 grams of shabu amounting to P82,800 and apprehension of six drug suspects.

They were identified as Marjun Duron, 34; Ponciano Alcantara, 43; Morris Mendoza, 34; Ronald Sevilla, 22; Rose Ann Balani; 34 and Ryan Sevilla, 18.

Then around 4:00 p.m. at Lubao St., of the same barangay, the raiders conducted a buy-bust resulting in the arrest of Edmond J. Garcia, 30, who yielded one gram of shabu amounting to P6,900.

In a buy-bust conducted at the 7th Street, Barangay Dapdap around 5:00 p.m. the authorities confiscated 10 grams of shabu amounting to P69,000 and assorted drug paraphernalia from three drug suspects.

Arrested personalities were identified as Jojo A. Caganahan, 39; Rudy D. Basilio, 53; and Rosemarie G. Chavez, 32, all residents of Barangay Dapdap.

All suspects are now detained at PDEA-3 Jail Facility in City of San Fernando, Pampanga.
