Woman arrested in Las Piñas drug bust

Members of Las Piñas Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) arrested a woman who yielded more than P100,000 worth of shabu during a buy-bust operation Thursday, July 28.

Col. Jaime Santos, city police chief, said the suspect, Analyn Idong, 43, was nabbed at around 1:00 a.m. on Casimiro Avenue in Barangay Zapote, Las Piñas City.

Santos said members of the SDEU launched an entrapment operation for the arrest of Idong, allegedly a known big-time drug peddler in the area.

The operative confiscated from Idong 15.3 grams of shabu worth P104,040 and P300 buy-bust money.

Santos said the confiscated shabu was brought to the Southern Police District Forensic Unit for chemical analysis.

He said Idong is now detained at the police custodial facility and was charged with possession of illegal drugs.
