After singing the official theme songs of both "Madrasta" and "The Lost Recipe," Kapuso actress Arra San Agustin is dropping her latest single, "Hanggang Dito," on July 29.
She is happy about it relating how she is now more confident with her abilities as singer.
Arra admitted that when she was offered to sing "Hayaan Mo" for "Madrasta" in 2019, she was in disbelief.
"100 percent nag freak out ako," Arra related in an interview. "Kinabahan talaga ako. Sabi ko 'Deserve ko ba to?'"
Apparently, the 27-year-old didn't think she was good enough a singer.
"Meron akong self-doubt. Na-anxious ako," she recalled.

After being pushed further, Arra reluctantly agreed and was surprised with the result.
"Sobrang worth it after kong nagawa. Sobrang sarap sa puso," she said.
Now, she's out to continue improving as singer, performer.
"I think anything can happen as long as you put your heart into it. And kailangan lang din mabuti kang tao sa mga kasama mo kasi sila lang din yung tutulong sayo e," she said.
"Like ito, many times di ka naniniwala sa sarili mo pero may ibang naniniwala sayo," she continued, mentioning Rina Mercado, who composed the tracks she sang for "Madrasta" and "The Lost Recipe."
Rina is behind the vocal arrangement of her new song "Hanggang Dito."
Roxy Fabian wrote the lyrics and arranged the music.
Arra likes it that the song deals with heartbreak.
She shared, "Gusto ko yung sad. Gusto ko yung mapanakit ng damdamin."
Arra noted the song doesn't pertain to romantic relationships exclusively. It could also be about the end of friendship and such.
"Kasi para sa akin gusto kong maging reaslitic siya. May mga bagay talaga na it doesn't go the way we plan or the way we want them to. Ideally, bagay na hanggang dito lang...," she explained, adding she wants her new song to be a source of "comfort" for fans.
Asked how determined she is in pursuing a singing career, with 1 being the lowest and 10 the highest, Arra answered, "11."
"Actually, beyond that pa," she said. "I'm willing to learn more. To enhance or improve myself more when it comes to singing, to creating music. Marami pa po akong di nalalaman at dapat matutunan. I have more room for improvement and willing po ako mag-commit para dito."
"Gusto ko rin mag-voice lesson para di ko makalimutan yung muscle memory sa pagkanta," she said.
Arra aims to stage a concert in the near future.
She also looks forward to collaborating with Faith Da Silva.
"Ang ganda ng boses niya," Arra said about Faith.
