George Pascua named new head coach of Adamson men's volleyball team

George Pascua will be calling the shots for the Adamson men's volleyball team next season.

The university announced the development Wednesday, July 27, as its former tactician Domeng Custodio will still be part of the coaching staff.

A long-time mentor for Far Eastern University, Pascua steered the Tamaraws in the men's division to four UAAP titles highlighted by a three-peat from Season 67 to 69.

His last title as a collegiate coach would be in Season 74 until he replaced Shaq delos Santos in the post in 2017.

But the 50-year-old Pascua wasn't as fortunate in the women's counterpart, especially in Season 84 where the team saw a dismal 1-13 showing -- the first time that the Lady Tamaraws missed a spot in the Final Four since 2014 or Season 76.

The Falcons, for their part, finished fourth in Season 81 before the UAAP tournament was halted due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Season 84 did not stage the men's division for indoor volleyball.
