CEU Makati VP receives Lourdes Talag Echauz Escolarian Centennial Legacy Award in pharmacy practice

Centro Escolar University Makati Vice President Dr. Olivia Limuaco receives the Lourdes Talag Echauz Escolarian Centennial Legacy Awards in Pharmacy Practice during the CEU School of Pharmacy Centennial Closing Ceremonies.

“First of all, I have to be thankful to the good Lord for all the blessings that have been given to me through the years. I could not ask for more because He has given me so much. I’m very thankful that in my 50 years of stay in CEU, I was able to make a lot of difference to so many people,” said Dr. Limuaco.

This grand award bears witness to Dr. Limuaco’s contribution in the field of Pharmacy since 1991 when she was appointed as the seventh Dean of the College of Pharmacy, which made her the youngest appointee in the said position and in the University.

With more than 20 years of service as Dean, she has established linkages with local and international professional organizations and implemented various programs for alumni and scholarships for students and worked for the upgrading of the school’s physical facilities and laboratory equipment. Her earnest intention to serve has widened connection with the alumni, making her loved by many in the CEU community.

Dr. Limuaco would not be called “mentor and mentor of the mentors” for nothing. Her experience in teaching and outstanding leadership for decades is an embodiment of the ideals of Dr. Lourdes Echauz who as the 5th President of CEU has led sustained and progressive improvements in the pharmacy profession.
