P374K 'shabu' seized from fruit vendor in San Pablo, Laguna

LAGUNA – Authorities arrested a high-value individual (HVI) and confiscated P374,000 worth of suspected shabu in a buy-bust operation in San Pablo City on Monday, July 25.

Laguna Police Provincial Office identified the HVI as Mark Aljon Sadsad Diola, a 29-year-old fruit vendor from Candelaria, Quezon.

San Pablo City Police Station (CPS) and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency - Police Regional Office 4A conducted the operation with the help of a confidential informant.

During the buy-bust, the police confiscated three heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing a white crystalline substance with an estimated weight of 55 grams.

The suspect is detained at San Pablo CPS and faces charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

The confiscated pieces of evidence were submitted to the Laguna Provincial Forensic Unit for forensic examination.
